Why Boomer?
Lots of people ask my why I named my iBook "Boomer".
It wasn't named after the dog in Independance Day.
It wasn't named after the rather attractive character ("Sharon Valerii") in BSG (although, if I can ever afford to buy a MacBook, I'm tempted to call it "Athena", just to confuse people).
It was named after a ship in the game Marathon 2 - if you fancy a bit of retro gaming with one of the strangest storylines you'll find, you can now download all 3 Marathon games for free.
